This page is for people with an account for S4 — the S4 mobile app and the S4 web application at app.sfour.co.uk — provided by Vesoft Services Limited. Guards, company staff and client users can all ask for their account to be deleted.
Delete your account in the app
This is the quickest way, and it takes effect straight away.
- Sign in to S4.
- Guards: open Profile, then Account. Company users: select Account at the top of the screen.
- Select Delete account and read the explanation.
- Select Continue, enter your password and select Delete my account.
You are signed out on every device as soon as the account is deleted.
Ask us to delete it
If you cannot sign in, first try Forgot your password? on the S4 sign-in screen. If that does not work, or you prefer not to use the app, email info@vesoft.co.uk with the subject “Delete my S4 account”.
Send the request from the email address registered to your S4 account. To protect your account we will only act on a request from that address, or after you confirm you control it — for example by following a link we send to it. We will never ask for your password.
Company owner and administrator accounts
An account that owns a company workspace, or an S4 administrator account, cannot be deleted directly in the app, because that would leave a company or the service without someone responsible for it. You can still ask for deletion in the app — the request is recorded — and our support team will help you transfer or close the company workspace first.
What happens when an account is deleted
- Access to the account ends and every signed-in session is ended.
- Your email address is replaced so it can no longer be used to sign in or to contact you.
- Your name and phone number on the account are deleted.
- Your password is made permanently unusable, and outstanding password-reset and verification links stop working.
- For Guards, the phone number on your Guard profile is removed and location sharing is turned off.
Records that may be kept
S4 is used by security companies to keep records that they, their clients and sometimes the law rely on. Some of those records may be kept after your account is deleted, for example:
- shift, attendance and timesheet records, including location checks made at Book On;
- Welfare Check, Log Book, incident and safety-alert records;
- licensing, right-to-work, screening and compliance records;
- payroll-administration records held for your company;
- security and audit records.
These records are kept only where there is a legitimate legal, contractual, security, employment, accounting or evidential need. Where your name or SIA licence number forms part of them, it may remain on them. The records may be held on behalf of the security company you worked with, which may have its own retention requirements. Our S4 Privacy Policy explains how records are kept and your rights.
